Without Butter or Eggs
Makes 2 Dozen
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup Sugar
1 cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Applesauce
1 tsp Vanilla

1) Preheat oven to 350. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2) Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder; add chocolate chips and stir well.
3) In a separate bowl, stir together the sugar, oil, applesauce, and vanilla.
4) Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed. If batter is too thick, add water a tsp at a time.

TIP: Substitute applesauce for butter in dessert recipes by doing a 1:1 swap. Swap 1 cup butter for 1 cup applesauce.
